Improved Places creation:
If you take a photo, a new place will be created at the location where the photo was taken, rather than at your current location.
Ability to add non-residential places was added. Note that a non-residential place can be placed anywhere on the map.
New flow for verification of location on the map for residential places:
New ASR command - Send client logs by saying “Send logs”.

Fixed:
Photo isn't attached to chosen place but to the place near user location [BUG-1333] - Fixed

New map engine - We are working on improving our map engine which will allow us to add new features in the future and generally enhance the map. You should not feel any change but your help is needed!
When testing, please focus on:

General map behavior - Is it smooth? Do you notice any glitches? Do all map elements load correctly? Does the map react naturally in all flows (i.g. “Share location”)?

Map performance - Does it load faster than before?

Crashes - Do you see any unusual crashes? Specific flows that crash the app frequently?

Older devices - If you are using older devices (especially Android), does the map still work for you like it used to? If not, what device and OS are you using?

Switching between apps and long sessions - please also report about related issues

What’s new:

Map engine OpenGL 2.0 is now removed for maintenance. Thank you for huge efforts helping us testing it! We'll let you know when engine updates are again included in the application.

Fixed:

Inability to find a route.
Problem with routing to destinations which are located on the right side of the road.
Bug with calculation of planned drives.
Vehicle position delay [BUG-4569] was improved.

Known issues:

Alternative routes screen doesn't show the alerts on route.
Alternative routes return route (and segments) from the original start point instead of current position.

Waze Android RC v.4.34.1.0

Due to a critical crash we found in production, we are releasing a “hotfix” for the 4.34 store version that is currently in the Play Store.

Main focus when testing: Stability and UI glitches.
